Thomas Cook Airlines as altered the timings of more than 40 flights this coming weekend as its pilots are due to strike for a second time this month.

Members of the British Airline Pilots Association plan to walk out for 24 hours from 3am on Saturday morning in a pay protest.

Further strikes are planned for September 29 and October 6.

Thomas Cook has confirmed that all flights will go ahead on September 23, but some departure times on September 22 and 23 have been changed.

“Our priority is to make sure all of our customers can still fly on holiday and back home with us and we are pleased to confirm that all of our flights scheduled on 23 September will operate,” it said in a statement on its website.

“In order to make sure that everyone can still travel with us during the strike period, we have made changes to the departure times of some of our flights on 23 September.”

The changes are to flights to and from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted.

Any further changes will be listed on its website.
