Monday, 21 February 20113 min read

Portman Travel has appointed Katrina Williams as its new public sector specialist manager.

The role was created after Portman was awarded a framework agreement by Buying Solutions, the national procurement partner for all UK public services and part of the Efficiency and Reform Group within the Cabinet Office.

The travel management company said it plans to recruit more people in its public sector team in the coming weeks and months.

As part of the role, Williams will be responsible for promoting Portman Travel among potential public sector customers, winning and securing new public sector business, and managing senior level relationships with key bodies.

Katrina was previously a consultant for Buying Solutions on the Government Hotel Programme.
