Price melts for new ship in Antarctica
SYDNEY – Adventure World has released a 25 percent discount on the latest ship from G.A.P Adventures, the M/S Expedition, to cruise the Antarctic. Booking must be completed before June 30.
Trips starting from $5576 per person will cruise from Ushuaia on the southern tip of South America.
There are four different itineraries available aboard the new ship including the 11-day Antarctica Classic tour which experiences the Drake Passage and the South Shetland Islands, the Antarctic Peninsula bird sanctuaries and other wildlife habitat, Paradise Bay and Port Lockroy.
The purpose-designed ship, M/S Expedition is a 105-metre ice-strengthened passenger cruise ship that offers five accommodation options for no more than 120 passengers.
Shore excursions are made in sturdy inflatables and are conducted by naturalists, geologists and scientists to give passengers the highest level of information.
The cruise can be combined with Buenos Aires or a tour through Patagonia before joining the ship.
There are eight departures on the M/S Expedition between November and December 2009 and from January until March 2010.
