Qantas will restart flights from Perth to Singapore after axing the route a year ago.
The airline scrapped the route in March 2014 after what it called "underperformance and a level of competition that has intensified, driving down yields."
Starting June 26, it will restart a similar schedule of five flights a week this time using single-aisle Boeing 737-800 jets.
According to Qantas CEO Gareth Evans, the carrier can now "match the right aircraft on the right route, and match schedules with customer demand."
WA Tourism Minister Kim Hames has welcomed the reinstatement of the service.
"It recognises the importance of Perth as a major gateway in Australia, and caters to the growing corporate and leisure visitor markets,” he said.
Qantas’ domestic unit has also announced an extra two round trips a week on the Perth-Brisbane route, bringing a total of 30 flights weekly.
