Relais and Chateaux appoints new president
Philippe Gombert, owner of Chateau de la Treyne in the Dordogne, is the new international president of Relais & Chateaux.
He takes over from Jaume Tapies who held the post for eight years.
Gombert was elected at the association’s 39th International Congress held in Berlin earlier this week.
He will lead Relais & Chateaux for a four-year term, working closely with his Executive Committee which includes Andrew Stembridge, managing director of Chewton Glen and Cliveden, and an International Board of Directors whose 19 delegates include Malcolm Lewis, managing director of Longueville Manor in Jersey.
