Restrictions to be eased for vaccinated Canadians returning home
Starting next month, Canada will take small steps to ease restrictions on inbound travel. It will allow vaccinated Canadians to skip mandatory quarantine.
Health Minister Patty Hajdu said it may begin in early July, subject to vaccination and infection rates. Do far less than 10% of Canadians are fully vaccinated.
Under the current hotel quarantine program, all inbound travellers are required to quarantine in a hotel pending the result of an on-arrival Covid test. The hotel stay is payable by the travelers.
