Ritz-Carlton changes name of first ship
Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first ship is getting a name change.
Originally called Azora, the 149 luxury suite vessel will now have the name of Evrima.
The Greek word Evrima loosely translates to ‘discover’ the company says, which highlights its goal of offering immersive experiences.
It is unclear why the name change was needed.
The company was unable to use the name Azora ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’ a spokesperson told LATTE Luxury News.
The three-yacht line is set to launch next year but recently announced it was pushing back the launch date by a few months.
Due to shipyard management issues, Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection begins sailing in June 2020.
The inaugural voyage departs Ft. Lauderdale for Barbados.
