Ryanair’s passenger numbers grew 10% to 9.4 million in March, despite the impact of strikes.
The airline said it had to cancel over 530 flights due to repeated ATC and some handling strikes, which cut its traffic by around 100,000 customers.
Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs repeated the airline’s call for action to prevent further air traffic control strikes, urging customers to sign the A4E online petition, Keep Europe’s Skies Open.
The airline reported that load factor for March remained unchanged at 94% and rolling annual traffic to March grew 13% to 120 million.
It said the rise was down to the continued success of its ‘Always Getting Better’ campaign.
On Thursday, the Ryanair due to announce the next phase of the programme, which is now entering its fourth year.
