Ryanair grew passenger numbers by 13% to 10.8 million in September, with a small jump in load factor of 1 percentage point to 95%.
Rolling annual traffic to Sept grew 16% to 113.2m customers.
The airline said the rise came on the back of lower fares.
Marketing chief Kenny Jacobs said it still expects average fares to fall further, by between 10% to 12%, in the six months to March 2017.
