Sabre integrates Virtual Payments into GetThere platform
Sabre Corp has launched a secure anti-fraud solution for its corporate online booking system GetThere.
Sabre Virtual Payments has been integrated into the system which produces an automated one-time Virtual Card Number (VCN) for each hotel reservation.
Each corporate account has pre-set spending limits and can only be used for predetermined transactions as an extra security measure.
Following the completion of the trip, the booking is matched to the payment removing the need for manual reconciliation of travel expenses.
“Integrating Sabre’s Virtual Payments with GetThere improves accuracy, efficiency and compliance by enforcing travel policy spending limits,” said Yannis Karmis, vice president, Sabre Corporate Solutions.
“Additionally, fraud exposure is reduced as virtual card numbers can be configured to contain value and validity controls specific to each travel segment.”
Sabre said expense reconciliation and settlement for air fares will be added to the system in the coming months.
GetThere processes about 12 million transactions annually from major corporate travel buyers.
