Sabre names new Europe boss
Sabre Travel Network has appointed Richard Adams to the post of senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
He replaces Chris Kroeger, who is to head its new travel agency consortium initiative in the US. See story.
Mr Adams previously worked for the company’s online corporate booking firm GetThere, which as previously reported by TravelMole, is being merged into Sabre’s other business units.
Before joining GetThere last October, Mr Adams was vice president of global business development, and vice president of Europe at Dendrite International, which provides customer relationship management and sales support to the pharmaceutical industry.
Mr Adams said: “My priority will be to find new ways in which Sabre Travel Network can simultaneously meet the demands of its diverse customer base while continuing to grow its share of the European travel market. We’re in business to support travel agents, travel providers, travel buyers and the travelling public. It’s something we’re good at, because we listen and we innovate. I plan to help continue this trend.”
