Sabre outage impacts multiple airlines
A system outage at Sabre caused long lines at multiple airports early Friday, and impacting multiple airlines. There were long waits to check-in for passengers of JetBlue,
Alaska Airlines and American Airlines and other carriers. Long lines formed for early flights at Boston, Raleigh-Durham, New York JFK and other airports across the country.
The outage was a global one with Australian carriers Virgin Australia and Rex experiencing similar problems. The reason behind the outage is unknown but Sabre hinted it was an issue with a third-party provider and says it has now been resolved.
