Sabre signs BTI deal

Sunday, 30 Jun, 2003 0

BTI UK has signed an agreement with Sabre Travel Network to make the GDS accessible in its UK offices.

The deal means BTI UK offices will continue to predominantly use Galileo, but will make Sabre available for corporate customers.

A spokesman for Sabre was optimistic about the deal, saying it signalled a trend towards single GDS usage by travel management companies and corporations.

The main benefits of the deal for corporations is the ease of management and management information sharing.

Sabre has similar supplier agreements with BTI in Canada, Australia and Singapore, parts of the US and Latin America. The spokseman said the two companies were in talks over signing further European deals.
