Serviced apartment company gets GDS code

Monday, 28 Oct, 2010 0

Serviced apartment company Ascott Limited is to have its own GDS chain code from December 1.

The AZ code will make it easier for business travel agents and TMCs to access and book Ascott’s global inventory of more than 20,000 apartment units across 160 properties in Asia, Europe and the Gulf region.

The group claims it is the first time a serviced apartment company has hooked up to GDS technology. AZ will be available via Amadeus, Sabre, Worldspan and Galileo.

Ascott Limited chief corporate officer Tony Soh said: “Our new ‘AZ’ code will make it more efficient for bookers at travel management companies and travel agents to access rates and availability of our properties."
