Silverjet upgrades Galileo distribution
UK all-business class airline Silverjet has upgraded its distribution to the trade through Galileo in advance of the launch of flights to Dubai.
The carrier, which starts the Luton-Dubai service on November 18, has increased its connectivity trough the GDS in an effort to expand sales through travel management companies.
All corporate fares will now be available through Galileo for the airline’s existing route to Newark and the new Middle East flights.
Head of UK sales Tim Buckman said advance bookings for the Dubai service, which will operate to a private jet terminal at the Gulf state’s airport, were “ahead of expectations”.
The airline is offering £999 lead-in return fares to both Newark and Dubai on its three 100-seat Boeing 767s.
Silverjet has options on two extended range 767s which have the capability of flying to destinations 12 hours distance from Luton – making Shanghai, Cape Town and the US West Coast possible options for future services.
The airline is also upgrading its facilities at Newark with a larger lounge expected to open in the first quarter of next year.
