After suggestions from a 40-member advisory board, luxury Silversea Cruises announced perks and incentives of a new agent recognition program. Programs are still in the preliminary stage, according to Silversea’s David Morris, who is in charge of North American Sales. But when the program is launched in March, there will be two levels. Agents who qualify for recognition at the Associate Level will receive enhanced override commission benefits. They will also get 24-hour access to Silversea’s new on-line booking engine; regionalized training; co-op printed brochures; a reduced agent fam rate of $100 (formerly $200); leads by web and phone, and more. Agents who qualify for the Silver Society Level receive all the benefits available at the Associate Level, including a more generous override plan. Other perks will include a dedicated reservations desk, a priority wait-list clearance for clients, and more. Report by David Wilkening
