Silversea to sail to 116 countries in 2008
Silversea Cruises’s four ships will cover more than 140 itineraries in 2008, visiting almost 340 different ports.
The ultra-luxury line’s newly published 172-page 2007-2008 Voyage Atlas details the sailings through to December 2008.
Twenty seven new destinations, include Taiwan, Okinawa, Guam, the Marshall Islands, Pohnpei, the Marquesas and Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific; The Gambia and Mozambique in Africa; and Saudi Arabia.
The all-suite ships will cover 116 countries on a schedule of itineraries ranging from six to 110 days.
Silver Shadow starts the year with its second World Cruise, departing Fort Lauderdale in January.
Other highlights include return visits to Alaska and Hawaii.
Pre- and post-cruise land packages and safaris range in length from two to six nights and start at $585 per person.
These vary from a stay at Huka Lodge on New Zealand’s North Island to exploring the Scottish Highlands on the Royal Scotsman.
Silversea’s sales and marketing senior vice president for the UK, Ireland and Middle East Trudy Redfern said: “Our ships and itineraries cater to the discerning traveller’s love of fascinating locales and authentic experiences.
“We think this new brochure does an excellent job of communicating Silversea’s easygoing luxury and the rewards of travelling by small ship to explore the world’s most desirable destinations.”
