At least six people have died following a train crash in Denmark this morning.
The accident happened on a bridge over the Great Belt between the islands of Zealand and Fyn.
The train, which is understood to have been travelling from Odense in the west of Denmark to Copenhagen on the island of Zealand in the east, was carrying 131 passengers and three staff when it collided with debris blown from a freight train heading in the opposite direction.
The railway line runs alongside a motorway that had been closed earlier due to strong winds. A tarpaulin cover on the freight train is believed to have hit the passenger train on the Storebaelt bridge, causing it to brake suddenly. Both trains were badly damaged in the crash and the bridge has been closed.
