Czech air carrier Smartwings is adding seven routes from Prague for winter 2025/2026. The airline has taken over the duties of “national carrier” from its bankrupt affiliate CSA, the historical airline of the Czech Republic. CSA ceased its operations in late 2024.
Under its 2025-2026 winter schedule, Smartwings significantly expand its Prague-based operations with the new winter flight schedule. The airline will offer new scheduled flights to Barcelona (4 times a week), Porto (2 times a week), Rome (4 times a week), Brussels (12 times a week) and Bucharest (7 times a week).
Smartwings just announced the addition of another two destinations to its winter flight schedule. The company is launching a regular service between Prague and Bilbao, Spain, on October 24, 2025, and between Prague and Toulouse, France, on October 25, 2025. The new services will be available to passengers twice a week. The flight between Prague and Bilbao will operate on Mondays and Fridays, while flights to Toulouse are scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays.
At the same time, Smartwings is also boosting frequencies to Paris CDG (from 2 to 3 daily flights) and to Malaga (from 8 to 12 weekly services).
Overall, Smartwings plans to operate direct flights from Czech airports to more than 30 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The schedule includes popular cities such as Madrid, Dubai, and Tel Aviv; Spain’s Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura); and leisure spots like Mallorca, Madeira, the Azores, and Egypt’s Red Sea resorts.
The airline’s charter program will also connect Prague to long-haul winter getaways such as the Cape Verde Islands, Bahrain, Doha, Salalah, Ras Al Khaimah, Zanzibar, and Mombasa.
