Some Thai destinations will miss PM’s full reopening timeline
Last week Thailand’s Prime Minister pledged that Thailand would fully reopen within four months. However, that target may not be achievable for all regions, a Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) meeting heard.
New rules were issued for each province allowing them to completely open only when 70% of their resident population is vaccinated. Several may not meet this, Tourism Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said. The Phuket ‘sandbox; reopening next month will be the blueprint for all other regions and tourist cities, Phiphat said.
