Southwest removes flight credit expiration dates

Southwest Airlines says its flight credits will never die. The expiration date is being removed.

The airline calls it ‘ultimate flexibility that is unmatched in the industry.’

Travelers who cancel a non-refundable flight at least 10 minutes before departure time are entitled to a credit with the airline, and no change fees.

“Introducing this change in our policy is part of a massive effort to improve the things that are most important,” says Tony Roach, VP of customer experience.
