Star Clippers sidesteps the airport

Friday, 12 Apr, 2011 0

Star Clippers has introduced rail and sail itineraries that mean UK cruisers can take the train to the south of France to join its tall ships.

Tapping into the public’s increasing dismay with long airport waits, the operator is offering the rail-cruise packages for this summer which include all meals, return rail travel from London, a night’s B&B in a four star hotel in Monaco or Nice and non-UK tranfers to and from the ship plus all port taxes.

Customers will sail on Star Clippers’ four masted tall ship Star Flyer which departs Cannes or Monaco on June 4, September 10 and October 1.
