Taxi strike halts travel in Goa

Holidaymakers to Goa are warned of an ongoing strike by taxi drivers affecting travel around the airport and major hotels.

The Foreign Office advised tourists should monitor the situation and avoid areas where protests are taking place.

Its advise said: "The strike is affecting travel in and around Goa, including on the road to the airport and around major hotels. Allow more time than usual to travel to the airport."
