Small town southeast Michigan comes alive in the summer, and never more so than July.
This is a month filled with an array of diverse family friendly events music concerts and a trip back into the past to discover the area’s history.
Here are some of the best happenings taking place this month
School of Rock July 12-21 | Croswell Opera House
Based on the movie, a wannabe rock star decides to earn some extra cash by working as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school … and turns a class of straight–A pupils into a mind-blowing rock band.
Tecumseh Bicentennial Celebration July 18-21 | Downtown Tecumseh
The City of Tecumseh will have a four day celebration for their 200th birthday. Events include Music in the Park, Downtown Block Party, Native American ‘Pow Wow’ dancing demonstration, a Bicentennial parade and fireworks.
Faster Horses Festival July 19-21 | Michigan International Speedway
The Party of the Summer returns to Brooklyn, Michigan. The lineup includes country music stars Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Hardy, Cody Johnson, Old Dominion, Riley Green, Tyler Hubbard and more.
Lenawee County Fair July 21-27 | Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds
Michigan’s longest running fair, since 1839. The fair is focused on an educational format to help preserve its agricultural heritage.
