As Americans celebrate Independence Day, the number of monthly transatlantic flights linking the US and the UK has never been higher.
Aviation analytics firm Cirium says this month sees a record number of flights across the Pond.
It crunched the numbers and found over 4,670 one-way transatlantic flights are scheduled during the month of July.
This is the highest number of UK-US flights on record, since Cirium began collating flight data 20 years ago.
For context, a flight departs the UK for the US every 9.5 minutes, this month.
Today alone, 149 flights are scheduled to depart the UK bound for the US.
The number of transatlantic flights between the UK and US have surpassed pre-pandemic levels, up 1.5% on July 2019.
Over the last decade, UK to US transatlantic flights have increased by over 21%.
This July, 10 airlines are offering direct flights from the UK to US.
British Airways has the most, followed by Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, United Airlines and Delta.
JetBlue, Norse Atlantic, Aer Lingus, TUI and Singapore Airline also offer UK-US routes.
