Hawaiian Airlines ended 2004 leading the airline industry with a system-wide load factor of 85.7%, an improvement of 5.4% over the previous year.
Along with filling more seats, Hawaiian improved in its Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs), with a 7.6% increase versus 2003.
After Hawaiian, the remainder of 2004’s top five airlines for load factor were JetBlue, 83.2%; Northwest, 80.2%; United, 79.2%; and Spirit, 78.7%, according to statistics published by Aviation Daily.
The industry average for the year was 75.7%.
Hawaiian Airlines is the US’s number one on-time carrier.
