TUI cancels Florida holidays until December
TUI UK and Ireland has cancelled all holidays to Florida due to depart up to and including November 30 2020.
The operator has blamed ‘the on-going uncertainty around international travel restrictions and the unprecedented impact of Covid-19’.
TUI said the decision has been made following new health and safety measures implemented at Walt Disney World to ensure the safety of its guests.
"These changes would significantly impact the holiday experience for many TUI customers who plan their magical and often once-in-a-lifetime Florida holiday," TUI said in a statement.
As part of TUI’s new Holiday Promise, the tour operator commits to only operating holidays where it’s able to guarantee an enjoyable, relaxing and safe holiday without significant changes at their destination.
Customers will be offered a range of flexible alternative options.
They can move their original Florida holiday booking to 2021 and receive an incentive, change their booking to any holiday currently on sale until October 2021 and receive an incentive, or cancel their holiday and receive a full refund.
TUI’s Florida programme will relaunch using flights from flying partners on December 1 2020, and TUI Airways flights resume in March 2021.
