Two dead after Koh Samui ferry capsizes

Two people died and another three are still missing following a ferry capsizing near the Thai holiday island of Koh Samui.
The car ferry, the Raja 4 capsized in high waves about two miles from Surat Thani, on its way back from Koh Samui.
It happened late at night as a storm whipped up waves in the Gulf of Thailand.
Two were pronounced dead including the ferry skipper, while two were found on a nearby island after swimming to safety.
As of late Sunday three more people were still unaccounted for.
According to Surat Thani’s provincial governor, marine police rescue boats plucked nine people out of the water alive in difficult stormy conditions with there-metre high waves.
