Vegas gambles on agents - TravelMole

Vegas gambles on agents

Saturday, 05 Oct, 2004 0

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) this month launched a new online program that will enable travel agents to be designated as experts on the destination.

Participants go to www.lvcva.com and click on a link called “Vegas Certified.” Agents then register and answer questions testing their knowledge of entertainment options and amenities in Las Vegas.

After agents are certified, they are eligible for customer appreciation events sponsored by the LVCVA and local properties.

The test will be updated every 12 months, and agents will have to re-certify at that time.

Agents also receive certificates, special logos and the chance to participate in monthly $100 drawings.

The program is free to US-based travel agents.
