An exclusive sneak preview of P&O Cruises’ new superliner Ventura can be viewed now on TravelMoleTV.

Filming took place during the formal hand-over of the £300 million ship in advance of it setting sail for the UK from its Italian ship yard.

The vessel is now travelling to its Southampton homeport and is due in the UK on April 6 at approximately 11:00 ready for a two-weeks showcase to the trade and consumers, including a naming ceremony by Dame Helen Mirren on April 16.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, P&O Cruises’ managing director Nigel Esdale said: “This is a very exciting day for us as we prepare to cast the ropes aside and head for home. Ventura’s maiden season is almost upon us and this ceremony is the culmination of many months of hard work, creativity and innovation.

“Ventura marks a new era in contemporary British cruising and great attention to detail has been spent designing each and every bar, restaurant and cabin.”

Ventura will set off on its maiden cruise from Southampton to the Mediterranean on April 18.
