Indian full-service airline Vistara will launch a new route to Doha later this month.

It will start flying twice a week from Delhi beginning on 19 November, initially until 31 December.

Flights are being operated under the Qatar-India air travel bubble which expires at the end of the year.

It will operate Airbus A320 neo aircraft on the route which runs Thursdays and Sundays.

"We are pleased to strengthen our presence in the Middle East by adding another global city to our steadily growing network, albeit for special flights under the transport bubble," said Vistara CEO, Leslie Thng.

It is Vistara’s second destination in the Gulf after Dubai.

Qatar Airways, Air India and IndiGo also operate the Delhi-Doha route.

Vistara also recently announced new international flights to Dhaka, Bangladesh and London.
