Windstar Cruises appoints new tech operations VP

Windstar Cruises has named Paul Barrett as vice president of technical operations.
Barrett joins Windstar after a 30-year career in marine operations and in technical positions in the cruise industry.
He previously held a similar position at Princess Cruises and started his maritime career as an engineer officer with P&O Cruises in 1984.
In this new role he will be responsible for safety and regulatory compliance, inventory control and purchasing, shipyard projects and refurbishments.

"We are holding ourselves to a higher standard of operational excellence in everything that we do, which is why we are thrilled to have a consummate professional like Paul join Windstar’s team."
He starts the role with immediate effect.
