Small ship line Windstar will offer Alaska cruises next year after a long hiatus.
The line is returning to the 49th State with The 212-passenger Star Legend, offering 11, 12 and 14-night sailings from May to August 2018.
These include Vancouver to Anchorage sailings calling at Ketchikan, Haines and Icy Strait Point.
Due to the ship’s size, cruises take in MistyFjords and Kenai Fjords National Park and there are expert talks by naturalists and park rangers, including Native American speakers aboard each sailing.
"We are so excited to be enhancing the Alaskan travel marketplace by introducing our brand of true small ship cruising to Alaska. We are bringing our guests right to the heart of what makes Alaska and the Great Pacific Northwest such an amazing destination and magical place to visit," said Windstar president John Delaney.
Optional trips by kayak and scenic cruising by Zodiac will be offered directly from the ship
