Abseiling, a squash court and two six-lane bowling alleys will be among the activities available on Norwegian Cruise Line’s largest ship Norwegian Epic.
Three water slides, including one designed for children that flows through a 33-foot high rock climbing wall, will also feature on board the 4,200-passenger vessel.
The 64-foot wide extreme rock climbing and abseiling wall, accessible on two levels with varying degrees of difficulty, is to be rated according to official US climbing grades.
An Aqua Park will include two main pools with water effects which illuminate at night; five whirlpools; a wading pool and a children’s pool with slide.
The ship, currently under construction, is due to enter service running Caribbean cruises from Miami from July 17, 2010.
There will be 14 restaurants together with 18 bars and lounges as well as the introduction of 24-hour room service.
General bookings for the new ship open on May 20 when details of another restaurant and three bars are to be announced.
