Air India begins first A350 flights
Air India has started flying its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The first A350 within India, the airline completed the inaugural flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai.
It is also the first jet with the airline’s new rebranded livery.
Due to regulatory compliance, the A350 will initially stick to domestic flying in the short term
It will operate domestic A350 flights between Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
It will later be deployed on long-haul international flights.
The A350-900 aircraft are part of Air India’s bumper order for 47 jets.
The A350’s three-class layout has 316 seats, including 28 private business suites which have full-flat beds, and 24 Premium Economy seats.
