Air Seoul gets GDS connected with Sabre

Wednesday, 14 December 20163 min read
South Korea’s newest low cost carrier Air Seoul is spreading its wings commercially after signing a GDS agreement with Sabre.
A multi-year global distribution agreement gives Air Seoul content a presence via a Global Distribution System for the first time.
Air Seoul content will now be available to 425,000 Sabre-connected travel agents, joining more than 100 LCCs in the Sabre Travel Marketplace.
"We have a rapidly expanding portfolio of low-cost carriers distributing their fares through Sabre, making us a global leader in this area but really importantly we’re pairing this rich content with a continued investment in technology innovation, which has allowed us to develop more advanced low fare shopping tools," said Roshan Mendis, senior vice president of Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.
There are around 20,000 agents connected to the Sabre Travel Network within Asia Pacific.
Air Seoul launched flights earlier this year flying domestically between Gimpo and Jeju.
Last month it began flying internationally to Japan and Cambodia.
