A $67 million leisure and residential resort at Airlie Beach by Latitude Development Group and to be operated by Peppers Retreats and Resorts has been announced.

The Peppers Coral Coast Resort ,with views overlooking the as yet to be built Port of Airlie Marina and the Whitsunday Islands is be the major hotel development in Airlie Beach, which is changing its image from a backpacker heaven to a sophisticated resort town, with over $1.8 billion in projects to commence or be completed in the next five years.

The Latitidue Development will start construction early next year and sets a new standard of resort development for the town.
