Alaska Airlines has announced a return to Washington Dulles with one daily round-trip from its Seattle hub planned to start March 11.
Alaska will then serve all three DC-area airports.
The carrier already operates to Reagan National Airport as well Baltimore/Washington International.
Alaska will have more DC flights from Seattle than any other carrier, the airline says.
"We’re thrilled to give our customers more options for visiting the DC area, including the Dulles Technology Corridor," said Joe Sprague, Alaska’s SVP of communications and external relations.
"With the new route Alaska is scheduled to increase its daily departures from Seattle by 11% by next spring, offering 282 peak-day departures to 79 destinations from Seattle, more than three times as many flights of any other airline," the carrier said in a statement.
Alaska last served Washington Dulles back in 2006.
