Bhutan will reopen its borders to international travel on 23 September 2022, thus enabling Amankora to welcome back guests to its five lodges.

Amankora has joined in endeavours to rebuild during the pandemic closure.

Aman has been operating in Bhutan nearly two decades.

Amankora’s lodges in the valleys of Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey and Bumthang, will welcome their first guests since March 2020 on 23 September 2022.

This ‘Blessed Rainy Day’ marks the end of the monsoon season.

International guests visiting Bhutan will now each pay a daily sustainable development fee of $200 to help finance Bhutan’s sustainable tourism concept.

Bhutan is home to hundreds of ancient sites, monasteries, historic fortresses and entire communities untouched by modern life.

The seven- to 13-day Amankora Journeys offers guests the opportunity to sample all five of Amankora’s lodges.
