American Airlines CEO stepping down
American Airlines CEO Doug Parker will step down in March, and will be succeeded by current President Robert Isom. Parker will remain as chairman of American after stepping down.
Parker began as CEO of America West Airlines just after 9/11 and oversaw mergers with US Air and then American Airlines. Parker said he planned for retirement some time ago but ‘the pandemic delayed it a little bit.’
"Demand is coming back so this feels like exactly the right time."
