American Airlines drops China flights
America Airlines is cutting back on China flights.
Two routes have been suspended – Seattle to Shanghai and Dallas to Beijing.
That leaves just one route left in American’s network, Dallas to Shanghai.
This route operates four times a week on Boeing 777 aircraft and restarted last month.
It currently runs until late October.
American suspended several routes during the pandemic.
Like other US carriers, American’s resumption to China was stymied for months over China’s continued lockdowns and strict Covid measures.
AA had previously said it would restart Beijing flights back in March 2021.
American and China Southern Airlines previously codeshared on Shanghai and Beijing routes.
