American to increase Grenada flight frequency to daily
Grenada Tourism Minister Alexandra Otway-Noel says American Airlines plan to expand flights to the island.
American currently flies from Thursday to Monday from Miami and will increase this to a daily frequency beginning December.
"That is going to be a big deal for us because it is going to allow us to get more volume, as well as get some more connections on different days through Miami," Otway-Noel said.
"Our relationship with American Airlines is very strong and we thank them for their continued support as we continue to provide a world class tourism product, and we want to ensure we are opening up ourselves to markets that are doing well and that have good potential."
American Airlines Group have just released air traffic results for August showing passenger load factor at 84.6%, marginally down from the same period last year.
