Sales of $7.1 billion in May were 15% over the same month last year and set a new record high for a four-week processing period, says ARC.

Also reaching new records:

  • International fares at $2.8 billion.

  • Credit card billings at just under $6 billion.

Travel agents and CTDs continued to grow their ARC reported average weekly sales per location, 21% higher than just a year ago, according to ARC.

ARC is known as the premier provider of financial settlement solutions and date and analytical services for the travel industry. Airlines, travel agencies, corporate travel departments and other travel suppliers process more than $70 billion annually through ARC’s settlement system.
