The American Society of Travel Agents today welcomes industry insider Zane Kerby as its new president and CEO.

Kerby comes to ASTA following a long career with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), formerly called the National Business Travel Association.

Since 2009 Kerby has served as senior vice president of events, sponsorships and advertising at GBTA, and was responsible for all aspects of the GBTA’s global annual convention. He has been with the GBTA since 1999.

Kerby has an MBA from the University of Maryland and a B.A. from Brigham Young University. He replaces Nina Meyer, ASTA chair of the board, who has served as interim CEO since the resignation of Tony Gonchar in July 2012.
