ATTA industry report released
The Adventure Travel Trade Association released its annual Industry Snapshot Report.
It contains data from its tour operator members highlighting current trends and the current state of the adventure travel industry, post-pandemic.
ATTA has completed this report for over 16 years
Conducted throughout April 2023, it gauges tour operator sentiment about their 2022 business operations and sales, this year’s booking expectations, trends, and consumer motivations.
This year’s survey results show the adventure travel industry has on the whole recovered from the economic effects of Covi-19.
Revenu and staffing levels are approaching 2019 numbers.
Operators are taking steps to ensure future success, with 85% having a safety and risk management plan.
Key findings in this year’s report trips were 65% full (up from 52% in 2021), and only 1% of respondents had zero guests in 2022.
Additionally, most departments have seen an increase in staffing over the previous year.
Also, only 10% of tour operator members had some reduction in revenue compared to 2021.
