Baggage handler jailed for stealing passenger firearms
A Southwest Airlines baggage handler was sentenced to federal prison for stealing guns from passenger baggage. Mark Hunter of St. Louis was handed a six month prison sentence, followed by three years of supervised release.
He admitted to stealing seven weapons from checked luggage at St. Louis airport. He is no longer employed by the airline. He previously pleaded guilty to a felony charge of knowingly possessing or receiving one or more stolen firearms.
