Lion Air Group has announced another bumper aircraft order with Boeing.
It will purchase 50 Boeing 737 Max 10 jets for a list price of about $6.24 billion.
It marks the largest incremental order yet for the Max 10 B737 variant that launched last year.
Lion Air group airlines have already ordered more than 200 Max jets from Boeing for its various affiliates in Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia.
The new planes will mostly go to the Lion Air and Batik Air brands based in Indonesia and will start arriving in 2020.
"We see healthy growth potential in Indonesia, with 5% economic growth annually, and changing lifestyles," said Lion Air Group chief executive Edward Sirait.
The single-aisle Max 10 jets can accommodate up to 230 passengers.
Meanwhile, Lion Air Group founder Rusdi Kirana said that the group expects to expand its network with another Southeast Asia based subsidiary.
He said the company expects to acquire an operating permit this year.
Kirana declined to confirm which county that is, although media reports suggest it could be Vietnam.
