A bmi flight was diverted to Gatwick Airport yesterday afternoon after a warning light came on in the cockpit.
According to reports in the Crawley Observer, flight BM1826 from Frankfurt to Bristol was diverted to Gatwick when a warning light came on indicating there was smoke in the passenger toilet.
A spokesman for bmi said checks were carried out and there was no indication of a technical issue with the aircraft.
Passengers were taken by road to Bristol.
