British holidaymakers drown off the Costa del Sol

Two men, believed to be father and son, have drowned in rough seas off the Costa del Sol.

According to BBC reports, the pair died on Tuesday while swimming near a popular beach at Almunecar, in the Granada province.

They have been names as Robert Wells, 75, and Jonathan Wells, 45 from Cobham, Surrey.

The Foreign Office said next of kin had been told and it is providing consular assistance to the family.
