British man among dead in Nepal plane crash

A British man was among the many people killed in the Nepal plane crash.

Ruan Calum Crighton was confirmed as a victim by the Foreign Office.

“We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Nepal,” a Foreign Office spokesperson said.

Crighton is one of 70 people confirmed dead.

It includes several other foreign nationals.

Other victims come from Russia, South Korea, Australia and France.

The Nepal plane crash happened near the tourist gateway of Pokhara.

A Yeti Airlines ATR 72 aircraft came down in a river gorge.

The black box and cockpit voice recorder were found in the wreckage.

Two people remain missing although officials said the likelihood of survivors is ‘nil’.
